help on a 81 sho-bud pro 1

Post by Rod Acuff »

does anyone know of a repair person near Roanoke VA.
Bought this beautiful sho-bud a while back on here . It was playing great when I bought it, but stopped playing due to work. Sat down the other night to tune it and my left knee levers (E) are having a problem. I don’t know enough about the mechanics under to figure it out. I can tune the open notes but when i engage the lever and tune it the open note is out. Just looking for someone fairy close to work on it
thanks

sounds like it could be overtuned? Theres a section on the forum about overtuning and how to remedy it, located right above your post, check it out

With the cold weather in Virginia, west Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina area. With more heat needed in residence. The humidity may have dropped, And dried the guitar out.
Check the cross shafts, The body may have dried out, And cross shafts are binding.
Good Luck finding the problem, Happy Steelin.
